{"id":2616,"date":"2016-10-03T11:17:58","date_gmt":"2016-10-03T10:17:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/school.chethams.com\/?p=2616"},"modified":"2016-10-03T11:17:58","modified_gmt":"2016-10-03T10:17:58","slug":"chethams-goes-kayaking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chethamsschoolofmusic.com\/blog\/chethams-goes-kayaking\/","title":{"rendered":"Chetham&#8217;s goes kayaking"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Last weekend, Chetham&#8217;s students headed for the water on the first of many activity trips organised by the recreation team.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Middle school student Shamimu tells the story:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We set off for the Debdale Outdoor Centre with Middle school and a few Sixth Formers. The best bit of the trip was when we all got a have a go on the instructor&#8217;s speed boat and jumped off afterwards. I also enjoyed the exercise when we would kayak to a certain point and then gradually get further into the river.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I found it difficult at first but after a while I got used to it, it helped that we had lots of breaks when we jumped into the water. I would DEFINITELY go again as it was really fun! At the Debdale Centre I&#8217;ve been windsurfing, raft building and cycling. I think that going on a Sunday helps me know that I&#8217;ve had my fun at the weekend and makes me work harder in the week, and helps me calm down before another week starts.
